Newspaper Obituary - Monday, April 21, 1986 Banner Times - Pulaski, New York - Leona Recor Barnes, age 75, of Englewood, Florida, died Wednesday, April 9, at Englewood. She was born November 29, 1910 at Osceola, the daughter of John and Esther Rowell Clemens. She was first married to Leland Recor and later to Glen Barnes of Richland. She had resided in Englewood, Florida the past number of years. Mrs. Barnes served as postmistress at Osceola for many years. She was a member of the Congregational Church, Osceola and Rebekah Lodge, Redfield. She served as a correspondent for the Banner Times; Queen Central News, Camden; Salmon River News and Camden Advance Journal. Surviving are one step¬daughter, Irene Craig, Central Square; three brothers, George Clemens of Alabama, Irwin Clemens, Osceola and Harold Clemens, Osceola; two sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Morrison Priest, Englewood, Florida and Mrs. Lois Gage, Camden. Graveside services will be held in the Richland Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski.
