Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 14, 1946 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Mabel Curtiss Service Yesterday - Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Burkett Curtiss, 72, widow of William P. Curtiss were conducted yesterday afternoon at the home of her son in Richland. She died Sunday night at the home of Mrs. John Bentley after an illness of about two months. Rev. Donald M. Cobb, officiated. Burial was in Richland Cemetery. Born in Redfield, she was the daughter of James W. and Celesta Cudworth Burkett, and spent her early life in Redfield and Osceola. Following her marriage, she lived in Richland for 34 years and in Pulaski since 1934. Mrs. Curtiss was a member of Richland Methodist church and was active in clubs and community work in Pulaski. She was a member of Ontario chapter D. A. R., Monday Historical club, and was a past matron of Pulaski chapter, O. E. S. Surviving are a son, R. Burkett Curtiss of Richland; one sister, Mrs. Florence Davis of Omaha, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Carol, William and Robert Curtiss, all of Richland.
