- Newspaper Obituary - March 19, 1902 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Laura Wright, wife of Luther Wright, died at 12:30 O’clock Wednesday morning, March 12, at the family residence 11 Colerick street, Fort Wayne, Ind., at the age of 76 years. Mrs. Wright’s death was due to paralysis. Her ill health dates from six years ago, when in a fall at her home the aged woman sustained a fracture of the hip, and she never recovered from the consequences of the accident. She subsequently sustained several strokes of paralysis, the last occurring on Saturday, and the patient did not again regain consciousness. She leaves a husband, but no children. Mrs. Laura Wright was born February 12th 1926, in Westminister, Vermont. Removed to northern New York with her parents, Daniel and Lavina Grout, was a sister of the late Willard and Henry Grout of this place. Was educated at Gouverneur Wesley Seminary in ’38, removed to Pulaski, Oswego county, N.Y., in ’52. Was married to Luther Wright of this place in ’53. Removed to Fort Wayne, Ind., October 1860, where they have resided continuously since that time. She united with the Second Presbyterian church (now the Westminister) the year following her arrival in Fort Wayne from which place the funeral services were held.
