Newspaper Obituary - Friday, May 26, 2006 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - The funeral for Harold G. Sherman, 80, Route 3, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Daysville Cemetery. Mr. Sherman died Wednesday at his home. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 545 for 37 years, retiring in 1984. Born November 1, 1925, in Pulaski, a son of Lewis and Dorothy McLean Sherman, he graduated in 1943 from Mexico Academy & Central School. He served in the Army Paratroopers Airborne Division 675 from 1943 to 1946. He married Shirley J. Hyatt on July 1, 1950. She died January 18, 2003. Mr. Sherman was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, the Daysville Cemetery Board and the Mexico Sports Booster Club. He was an avid Syracuse University sports fan. Surviving are three sons and their wives, Richard and Leslie, Mexico, John and April, Oswego, and Tom and Lori, Warners; three daughters and their husbands, Judy and Tom Perlet, Mexico, Jill and Dan Hauswirth and Liz and Bob Schickling, all of Pulaski; two brothers and their wives; Ken and Anne, Liverpool, and Daryl and Judy, Central Square; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carol and Whit Johnson, Pensacola, Florida., and Adel Perleoni, Baldwinsville, 14 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
