Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 27, 1947 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Mrs. Ada Owen Moore Rites Held Sunday - Mrs. Ada Owen Moore, 80, wife of the late Lester Moore of Prattham, town of Mexico, died Thursday morning at the home of Herbert Backus where she had lived for the last five years. She was born August 3, 1866 in Parish, daughter of William and Catherine Grey Owen. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Sarah Warn of Parish, one brother, George Owen of Central Square and one step-son, Wesley Moore, who is retired and living in Florida at present also several nieces and nephews. The body was removed to the Leroy M. Miner funeral home, where funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, with Rev. Allan T. Dodge, officiating. The body was placed in the Mexico vault to await burial in the spring in Daysville cemetery.
