Newspaper Obituary - December 17, 1970 Oswego County Weeklies - Mexico, New York - Lewis Edgar Sherman, 72, of Scenic Highway, Pulaski RD I, died December 14, 1970. Sherman was born on April I, 1898 in Parish, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sherman. He attended Mexico school and married Dorothy McLean in Pulaski on November 3, 1921. Following their marriage they lived in various areas throughout Oswego County, but had resided at their present address for the past 44 years. He was in carpentry and construction trade until he retired a few years ago. He served with the U. S. Army in Europe during World War I. He was a member of the Robert Edwards Post, 358 of the American Legion of Pulaski, the World War I Barracks of Mexico and Mexico Grange. Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Harold G. of Pulaski, Kenneth H. of Liverpool and Daryl K. of Syracuse; two daughters, Mrs. Adel Begnal of Liverpool, Mrs. Carol Dailor of Pensicola, Florida; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Walter of Mexico and Robert of Liverpool; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Cora) Carl of Pulaski; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home in Pulaski. Burial will be in the Daysville Cemetery in the Town of Richland.
