Mrs. Mary
Tanner Dies
ALBANY - Mrs. Mary O. Tanner, 82, of 955 Washington Ave., Albany, formerly of Carthage and Watertown, widow of Earl Tanner, died Thursday morning in St. Peter's Hospital.
The funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Philop [sic] J. Frederick Funeral Home, Albany, Rev. Arthur Hagy, Jr., pastor of Calvary Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory's Garden in Colonie.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 5 p.m.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Dorothy E. Tanner and Miss G. Irene Tanner, Albany; one brother, Herman E. Obrist, Utica. Her husband, a former supervisor of the bridges and buildings department of the St. Lawrence division of the New York Central railroad in Watertown, died in November, 1963.
Miss Tanner was born at Carthage, July 22, 1887, daughter of John and Mary M. Wehrnle Obrist. She was married to Earl Tanner in 1905. The couple moved to Albany about 35 years ago.
