Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday Afternoon, October 30, 1907 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Found in Pasture - Dead Body of Missing Man Discovered - Heart Disease Attributed - Pulaski, October 30 - The body of Gardner Nelson, who had been strangely missing from his home since last Monday, was found in a meadow by W. H. Ladd of Richland, who was on his way to the Lawrence Fuller farm, where Nelson was employed at the time of his disappearance. The body was lying a short distance from the path normally taken by Mr. Nelson and others when on their way to the Fuller place. He had been subject to attacks of heart failure and it is believed that he expired during one of these attacks. Mr. Nelson was a bachelor, about 60 years old and lived alone in a house in a lonely spot some little distance from the main highway. He was rather eccentric. Ten days or two weeks ago he engaged to work for Mr. Fuller for a time, but failed to report last Monday. Little was thought of this for a few days, but yesterday the farmers of the section searched all day and into the night but without success. The body today was accidentally discovered by Mr. Ladd. A brother, Sylvester Nelson, dropped dead a few years ago at Richland.
