Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, September 25, 1884 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - September le, Mrs. Sarah A. Pierce, wife of Mr. Marshall Pierce of South Richland. The deceased was born in Bridport, Vermont, March 31st, 1823. In 1826, when the deceased was but three years old, her parents with six children removed to Mexico, in this county, where she lived until May 15th, 1849, when she was married to Mr. Marshall Pierce, then residing as now, in South Richland. In 1867 they removed with their two children, a son and a daughter, to this village, and in 1879 returned to their former home. Born of Christian parents who consecrated her in infancy by baptism, she received that faithful religious instruction which developed itself in the fullness of a personal consecration by uniting with the Presbyterian church in Mexico on profusion of faith, when she was only about fifteen years of age. In 1867, she, with her husband, transferred her church relations to the Congregational church in Pulaski. In every place, in every relation of life a most exemplary Christian character without spot and without blemish. They shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy."
