Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, March 4, 1950 Utica Daily Press - Utica, New York - St. Johnsville - Mrs. Hiram A. Sloan of Monroe Street has been called to Richland, Oswego County, due to the death of her father, Alfred C. Bushnell Mrs. Sloan was summoned to Richland late last week, and her father died on February 28. He had resided in Richland most of his life. Besides his daughter, Mr. Bushnell also leaves his wife, Mrs. Rosa Bushnell. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 2 from the home in Richland and burial was in Fernwood.
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 9, 1950 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Alfred C. Bushnell Dies - On February 28, 1950 our community was saddened by the death of a friend and neighbor, Alfred C. Bushnell. He was born December 25, 1871 near Fernwood, the son of the late J. Wilbur and Harriet Carter Bushnell. He was married to Rosa Sprague November 2, 1893 and since that time has resided in Richland and vicinity. His funeral was held last Thursday afternoon from his home and the body was placed in the Pulaski vault for burial in the spring in Willis Cemetery. The only survivors are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Hiram Sloan and a grandson, Gerald Sloan of St. Johnsville, New York.
