      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, June 27, 1973 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Willis A. Traphagen, Railroad Man 36 Years, Dies ¬Willis A. Traphagen died Friday, June 15, 1973. Always interested in young people he was active in Boy Scout work and in the Bible School of the Richland Church of Christ, where he was Superintendent for many years. He was employed by the New York Central Railroad for 36 years, retiring in July, 1958. A loyal member of the Railroad Brotherhood Maintenance of Way Department Union Lodge 453, he was its Secretary, Treasurer for 16 years. Surviving are his wife, Ruby E. Traphagen; two sons, Willis E. of Framingham, Massachusetts and Charles of Pulaski; a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Ann) Blaich of Fulton, New York. Also a brother, Earle of Jamestown, New York, five grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 cousins. Private prayer services were held at the family home, the Rev. Gene Kearns officiating. Burial was in Richland Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Watson Funeral Home, of Central Square, New York.
