Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 17, 1946 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Silas Haley Dies on Way to Doctor - Silas Haley, 75, of Richland died of a heart attack Sunday afternoon while his son Richard was taking him to a doctor in Pulaski. He was born in Pine Meadow, Orwell, July 7, 1871, and spent most of his early life in the west, where he married. He returned to this section about 30 years ago. Mr. Haley was a farmer. His wife died July 16, 1943. Funeral services were held at his home in Richland Wednesday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Howard Woodman, pastor of Richland Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Richland cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph C. Blakeney, Syracuse and Miss Nora L Haley, New York; four sons, Elwyn B., Santa Rosa, California, Wyman A., Syracuse, Clayton J., Buffalo, and Richard M., Richland; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie March, Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Ellen Himes, Glendale, California, and Mrs. Alice McChesney, Richland; and one brother, Wiley J., Pine Meadow.
