Carlton E. Scott, 80, of 1 Peck Road, died Sunday at Loretto Heights Nursing Home, Oswego.
Mr. Scott retired from Conrail in 1983 after 45 years of service.
Born June 26, 1921, in Pamelia, son of Arthur and Millie Colvin Scott, he attended Pulaski schools and served in the Army from 1942 to 1946.
He married Emma J. Smith on May 9, 1947. She died Aug. 28, 1981.
Mr. Scott was a member of the Pulaski Veterans of Foreign Wars, Amboy Masonic Lodge 650 and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are a stepson, David Drake, Montana; a sister, Ruth Trumble, Parish; two brothers, Henry, Richland, and John, Pulaski, 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Barbara Britton, died Aug. 29, 1981.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in South Richland Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Foster-Hax Funeral Home.
