Edwin M. Soble Sr., of Route 22, Altmar, died Saturday at his home after a short illness.
He was a retired carpenter with Local No. 12, Syracuse.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Inez Trumble Soble; nine daughters, Pauline Pachoud of Fulton, Rose Raymond of East Syracuse, Catherine Duell of Mexico, Anna Middleton of Parish, Grace Stone of Parish, Ethel Ponzo of Syracuse, Dorothy Barber of Altmar, Shirley Wallace of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Eulia Mason of Fulton; six sons, Solomon Richardson of Parish, Carl Richardson of Phoenix, Edwin Soble of Central Square, Dale Trumble of Altmar, Lloyd Trumble and James Trumble, both of Williamstown; three sisters Adelia Barthel of Parish, Betty and Helen (Soble) of California; one brother, William Soble of Christmas Park, Fla.; 67 grandchildren; 89 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Harter-Olmstead Funeral Home, 7430 Main St., Parish, on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
A spring burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in Paris.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
