Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, March 9, 1943 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Mrs. Cora Fox was found dead in bed this morning at her home on Maple Avenue. She was born May 13, 1863 in the Lehigh district, outside Pulaski, daughter of William Henry and Alvina Ingersoll Filkins. On December 20, 1882 she married Seymour J. Fox. Mrs. Fox was a lifelong resident of this vicinity and was a member of Methodist Episcopal church, W. S.C.S., Order of Eastern Star and W.C.T.U. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Edna Lane and Mrs. Gladys Benedict of Pulaski; two sons, J. B. Fox of Tacoma, Washington and Arnold H. Fox of San Francisco; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Michel of Pulaski; a brother, Isaac H. Filkins of Wilson, Connecticut; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 11, 1943 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Funeral services for Mrs. Seymour Fox will be held at her home in Maple Avenue, Sunday at 2 p.m. following the arrival of her two sons from the West coast. The services will be conducted by the Rev. W. A. Gardner of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Pulaski. The Mauder Class of the M. E. Church of which she was an active member for many years, will attend the services in a body.
