John Edward Howard

John Edward Howard, 75, passed on to be with the Lord October 19, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. John was a devoted husband, a loving father and a loyal Marine and a veteran of the Korean War. He served 12 years in the Corps. He was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries he received in Korea. He and his wife, Mary of 38 years, retired from the Department of Corrections in Florida and resided in Orwell, NY since 1996. He is survived by their daughter, Kimberley Dexter (Scott). He had five sons, Raymond, David, and was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey, Edward King (Taroube) of Tallahassee, FL, Brian King (Jill) of Finksburg, MD. He had eight grandchildren.
He belonged to the Marine Corps League, VFW, and American Legion in Camden for many years.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Servants Baptist Church, 10570 Rt. 13, Camden, NY on November 12, 2011. A military funeral will follow.
