- Newspaper Obituary - April 1, 2002 Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Harry Allen, 82, of county Route 57, Phoenix, died Saturday. He was born in Fulton. He lived in Phoenix for 60 years. He attended Fulton schools. He was a machinist foreman for Frazer & Jones Co., Solvay. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving from 1941 to 1946, and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5540. He also was a member of Seneca Golf Course and a charter member of Beaver Meadows Golf Course. Survivors: His wife of 60 years, the former Millie Guernsey. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home. Burial, Phoenix Rural Cemetery. Calling hours, noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.
