Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, September 4, 1912 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Carrie Moody Twitchell, widow of Henry C. Twitchell, was stricken with paralysis, Friday about six o'clock. She summoned Mrs. Jamerson, her nearest neighbor by phone and a physician was called but there seemed to be no help for she grew worse until death claimed her at about half past ten that evening. Mrs. Twitchell was sixty-two years of age and had spent her whole life here where she was born. Her husband died less than two years ago and her life has been sad and lonely. She had sold her farm on the Port road and was to leave the home she had occupied so many years in a short time which was a deep sorrow to her. She was a member of the Methodist church, Pulaski Chapter Order of Eastern Star, and J. B. Butler W. R. C. and was past president of the corps. She leaves three brothers, Delano G. Moody, and Henry Mood, of Pulaski, Arthur Moody, of Henderson, and two sisters, Mrs. D. E. Brooks, of Pulaski and Mrs. Rufus Douglass, of Lincoln, Nebraska. Her funeral was held Monday at two o'clock, Rev. A. P. Palmer officiating. Mrs. William Eason and Miss Jessie Lane sane two selections with Miss Lulu Erskine at the organ as accompanist. A large number of Eastern Star and W. R. C. ladies attended the funeral. Harry Moody, of Oregon City, a nephew, whom Mrs. Twitchell brought up, will arrive in a week or so to settle the estate, he being named in the will as heir to the property.
