Elmer A. Currier, 88, of Bonta Bridge Road died Sunday at Auburn Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Templeton, Mass., he lived most of his life in the Meridian area.
Mr. Currier was a machinist for Morriss Machine Works in Baldwinsville. He retired in 1972. Previously, he worked as an experimental machinist at Aerojet Propulsions Laboratories in Azusa, Calif.
He was a member of the Rotary Club of Pomona, Calif., a member of the International Association of Aerospace Workers and Machinists and an honorary member of the Baldwinsville VFW post.
Surviving are his wife, Frances; four sons, Michael of Winston-Salem, N.C., Steven of Throop, Paul of Lithia, Fla., and Gary of Meridian; a daughter, Patricia Henshaw of Weedsport; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several cousins.
Services are 10 a.m. today at Jewell Funeral Home, 8886 S. Seneca St., Weedsport. Burial is in Monumental Grove Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
