    • Newspaper Obituary - November 30, 2006 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Elsie WHEELER - Elsie V. "Jane" Wheeler November 28, 2006 - Elsie V. "Jane" Wheeler, age 80, of Altmar, died Tuesday at her home. She was born on August 23, 1926 in Williamstown and moved to Altmar in 1941 where she attended high school. She was the daughter of William and Rose Trumble Britton. She married William T. Wheeler on Nov. 24, 1941; he died Nov. 24, 1993. She was employed by the Altmar Post Office for 21 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Williamstown. Surviving: Three sons, Thomas W. of Baldwinsville, Robert L. (Sandy) of Williamstown, James H. (Mary) of Altmar; two daughters, LaDonna (James) Lake of Richland, Linda Tanner of Williamstown; two brothers, Fay Britton of Chittenango, Robert "Pete" Britton of FL; two sisters, Viola Mowers of Orwell, Rose Peck of Williamstown; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar. Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Altmar Fire Dept., Altmar, NY 13302.
