Jeffery M. "Grover" Howard, 38, of 1018 Tyson Place died Sunday at University Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Howard was born in Quantico, Va., and lived in Syracuse most of his life. He attended Henninger High School.
He worked as an audio engineer for various companies.
Surviving are his mother, Anne Marino of East Syracuse; his father, John Howard of Orwell; two brothers, Andrew and David, both of Syracuse; his grandmother, Viola M. Mowers of Orwell; a stepsister, Kimberly Dexter of Lincoln, Neb.; an aunt; an uncle; and several cousins.
Services are 8 p.m. Thursday at Welter-Price Funeral Home. Burial is in Collamer Cemetery.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 2649 James St.
Contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Cancer Society.
