- Arnold Claflin Dies Suddenly
Last rites for Arnold D. Claflin, 61, of Furnace St., were held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Foster Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Aldrich, pastor of the Mexico Baptist Church, officiated. Burial will be, in Riverside Cemetery in Altmar in the spring.
Mr. Claflin died unexpectedly Saturday morning at his home here.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Prouty Claflin; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Chapel, of Pulaski; a step-son, Walter Robinson of Pulaski; four sisters, Mrs. George Kinney of Sandy Creek, Mrs. Julian Miller of Lacona, Mrs. Hilda Roth of, Oswego and Mrs. Mabel Simmons of Sterling; a brother, Noel Claflin of Lacona; seven grandchildren; five great-grand-children and several nieces and nephews.
He was an operating engineer for several construction companies
