    • Bruce P. Carl Obituary
      Bruce P. Carl, age 92, life resident of the Pulaski area, passed away Saturday at Iroquois Nursing Home in Syracuse. Bruce was born in Syracuse on June 14, 1932, the son of Paul and Cora Sherman Carl. He graduated from Pulaski High school in 1950 and attended Cornell University. In 1952, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served until 1956. Bruce was married for 65 years to Thelma Minor Carl who passed away on August 18, 2022. He was employed by Western Electric in Syracuse for 28 years, retiring in 1984. After his retirement, Bruce worked as a bus driver for the Pulaski School District and as a maintenance worker for Oswego County Savings Bank. He and his family were members of Park Methodist Church. In his free time he loved building model ships, and was an avid coin collector. Some of Bruce’s model ships can be enjoyed at the Lakeside Restaurant at Port Ontario.

      Surviving are his children, Robert (Joan) McDonald of Lake View, NY; Dawn Clark of Sun City, AZ; Char McDonald of Scottsdale, AZ; Kevin (Diane) Carl of Montoursville, PA; Lisa Miller of Cheektowaga, NY; Stephen Carl of Pulaski, NY; and Alex (Danielle) Carl of Simi Valley, CA; 13 grandchildren (predeceased by Jeffrey Holmes) and 18 great-grandchildren; and his brother-in-law Don Minor,Jr.

      A memorial service will be held in the spring at a time to be announced. Arrangements in care of Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
