Newspaper Obituary - Monday, October 31, 1988 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Lyle M. Whaley, 39, of Pine Ridge Road, died Saturday, October 22, morning in a hunting accident. Born December 20, 1948, in the town of Richland, Mr. Whaley graduated from Sandy Creek Central School in 1967. He was married to Sandra Burnett in 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1969. He was employed by the Riluc Trucking Company in East Syracuse for the past six years. He was previously employed from 1970 to 1982 by Santaro Tarson Trucking Company. He was a member of Teamsters Local 317 in Syracuse for the past 18 years. He was a member of the Canastota American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; three sons, Lyle D., Allen P. and John J., all of Canastota; his mother, Norma Coffin of Lacona; his maternal grandmother, Hazel Coffin of Lacona; one brother, Larry of Pulaski; one sister, Linda Dailey of Seneca Falls; two half brothers, Robert E. and Mark L., both of Lacona; two half-sisters, Sandra Pettit of Lacona and Laurie Fox of Pulaski. Services were held at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery.
