Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, May 6, 1903 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Joseph Hurd died at his home in North Street yesterday morning. He had been sick about a week, the effects of a paralytic shock followed by pneumonia which was the cause of his death. He was born in Sandy Creek, February 22, 1832. He had followed the occupation of stone mason and carpenter in that vicinity until ten years ago he moved to this place and has followed the same occupation here. He leaves a widow and five children, Mrs. Charles Barton, north of this village, William Hurd, Cleveland, Ohio, J. D. Hurd of Pine Island, Minnesota, Anson, of Lorraine, and John whose home is here. The funeral will be held at one o'clock Thursday, at the home with Rev. S. O. Barnes officiating, burial will be made at Sandy Creek.
