John F. O'Rourke, 81, of Main Street died Friday at Rome Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Osceola, he retired from the Revere Rome Manufacturing Division. He previously worked as a clerk at the Rome Post Office.
Mr. O'Rourke was a member of St. Patrick's Church and had served as an usher. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Rome Council Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife, the former Bernice C. Curry; three daughters, Elizabeth A. Narolis of Topeka, Kan., Elaine M. Seem of Olathe, Kan., and Jeanne F. Chesnut of Pulaski; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church, Taberg. Burial is in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Sanborn-McDaniels & LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main St., Camden.
Contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church or Alcoholics Anonymous in Rome.
