- Newspaper Obituary - September 27, 1962 Sandy Creek News - Mrs. Crandall Dies Suddenly, Funeral Friday - Service for Mrs. Rex Crandall will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Foster Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Gerald W. Jones, pastor of the Pulaski Baptist Church officiating." Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Mrs. Dorothy J. Potter Crandall died suddenly Tuesday, Sept. 25, 1962, at her home in Pulaski. She was born 59 years ago, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest W. Potter, her mother being a native of Belleville, Ont. Mrs. Crandall was a graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central City Business Institute, Syracuse. She was employed for a short time by the Regal Paper Co. and for 28 years by the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp., retiring in 1957. On Aug. 26, 1924 she was married to Rex E. Crandall, son of Charles R. and Nora Harding Crandall of Sandy Creek. She was as member of Pulaski Baptist Church, the Utility Employes Assosiation of Niagara Mohawk Power Corp., of the Rising Sun Rebekah Lodge and the Pulaski Auxiliary of the L.A.P.M. Surviving, besides her husband are: a son, Donald F., Pulaski; her father, Ernest W. Potter, Pulaski; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Reese of Oswego and Mrs. E. Lee Hill, Syracuse; five grandchildren and several nieces arid nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Thursday).
