      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, May 15, 1995 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Clarence A. Peters Dies In Watertown At 99 - Clarence A. Peters, 99, Spring Brook Apartments, died at 11:50 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Center for Health Services, Watertown, after a long illness. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. There will be a calling hour from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Fernwood United Methodist Church. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great-nephews. Born September 25, 1895, in Adams, a son of Eli D. and Lydia Marie Wheaton Peters, he was a lifelong resident of the Fernwood-Pulaski area. Mr. Peters was employed by Peters Appliance Store for 25 years, retiring in 1975. He owned a general store in Fernwood from 1932 to 1945. He married Sadie Reynolds on August 20, 1919. She died December 1, 1973. Mr. Peters was a member of the Fernwood United Methodist Church and a former member of the Pulaski Grange and the South Richland Cemetery Board.
