      A memorial service for Claire J. Rogers, 57, of 1194 County Route 48, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pulaski Baptist Church, 7 Bridge St., Pulaski, with the Rev. Brett Charsky officiating. Burial will be private.

      Mrs. Rogers died Friday at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, where she had been a patient since March 26. She had been ill with breast cancer.

      There will be no calling hours.

      Arrangements are with Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.

      Mrs. Rogers was a former photographer and reporter for Salmon River News. She taught at Sandy Creek and Churchville schools, had taught technology education since 1999 at General Brown Junior-Senior High School, Dexter, and was a professor at SUNY Oswego during the summers. She also was a wedding photographer.

      Born March 29, 1952, in Cornwall, Ontario, daughter of Maurice and Margaret Mere Brodeur, she graduated in 1970 from Pulaski High School and received her master's degree in education from Oswego State Teachers College. She had lived in the Richland area most of her life.

      She married Glen E. Rogers on June 23, 1973, in Pulaski.

      Mrs. Rogers enjoyed quilting.

      Surviving besides her husband are a daughter and her husband, Kimberly and David Fowler, Newark; a son and his wife, Timothy and Michelle, Rochester; her mother, Margaret Brodeur, Richland; a sister and her husband, Sharon and Joel Southwell, Richland; two brothers and their wives, Maurice and Melody Brodeur, Hudson, Fla., and Thomas and Kelly Brodeur, Richland, two grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
