[Note: Esther Trumble Shaw died September 28, 2012 in Morrisville, New York and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery at Orwell, New York.]
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 5, 1972 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - George Shaw Dies at 45, Worked 26 Years For Pulaski - George F. Shaw, 45, of 7647 North Street, Pulaski, died Wednesday, June 28, in the Veteran's Hospital in Syracuse where he had been a patient two days. He was born February 21, 1927 in the Town of Richland, the son of Thomas and Laura Gregory Shaw. He attended Pulaski high school and served one year in the United States Navy. He was employed for 26 years by the Pulaski Village Department and had been on sick leave since March 1, 1972. He was married to Roberta Clark October 24, 1970 and was a member of Robert Edwards Post 358 American Legion. He helped form the Babe Ruth League and acted as manager for several years. He is survived by his wife, Roberta; sons Steven Shaw of the Air Force stationed in Lackland AFB, Texas, Kim Shaw, 15, at home, George II and Kristie, twins at home; one step-son, Robert Clark of the United States Army stationed at Friedburg, Germany; mother, Mrs. Laura Shaw of Pulaski; three brothers, Harold and Thomas of Pulaski and Sidney of Fellsmere, Florida; one sister, Etta May Cosilmon of Pulaski. The funeral was held Sunday, July 2 at one p.m. at Foster-Hu Funeral Home. The Reverend Edwin A. Potter of Park United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Pulaski Cemetery with full military honors.
