    • Constance Stowell “Connie” Haas Constance Stowell “Connie” Haas, 86, of Stephens City, VA, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, September 15, 2024.

      Constance was born March 29, 1938, in Upstate New York, the daughter of Kenneth and Mayfred Beckstead Stowell. Constance married Harold Eugene “Bud” Haas, the love of her life, on June 10, 1961, in Pulaski, NY. He preceded her in death April 2, 2017. She and her husband, Bud, operated a retail sales and service business for 30 years in Pulaski, NY. Both were very active in the community. Connie served on the Board of Education for 10 years and on the Village Board for six years, followed by four years as the Mayor of Pulaski; a position her father also held. After retiring in 2000 and moving to Stephens City, VA, she joined Meade Memorial Episcopal Church in White Post, VA.

      She is survived by her two children, Jennifer Marie Haas Marcin and husband, John, of Lexington, MA, and Ronald Haas and wife, Teresa, of Middletown, VA; grandchildren, Haley Marcin, John “Jack” Marcin Jr., Grace Marcin, William “Billy” Marcin, Angella Haas, Erica Haas, Rianna Haas; great-grandchildren, Sierra Crabtree, Christopher Thomas; and siblings, Diane Lane and Lance Stowell.

      A memorial service will be held on October 12 at 1pm at Meade Memorial Episcopal Church in White Post, VA, with Rev. Howard Humphrey officiating.
