- Newspaper Obituary - November 22, 1972 Pulaski Democrat - Local Restaurant Owner Dies Nov. 18 - John L. Sperati Sr, 45, of 7556 Church St, Pulaski died November 18 at the Veterans Admistration Hospital Syracuse. He was a patient for 3 weeks. Mr. Sperati was born Oct 2, 1927 in Syracuse NY, son of the late Lorenzo and Lucy (Mastergermia) Sperati. He attended Syracuse schools. He was married July 1, 1950 to Verda Mouck and lived in Syracuse until 8 years ago when they moved to Pulaski. They have always owned and operated restaurants. Sperati served in Panama during World War II. Surviving are his wife, four sons, John Jr, Donald, Thomas, and Richard, one daughter Vicki, all of Pulaski , his mother, Mrs. Lucy Sperati, 3 brothers, Natalino Sperati and Lawrence of Syracuse and Danny of California, three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Forunato, Mrs. Susie Guaris, Mrs. Angela Tromato. Services were held on Tuesday, November 21 at 8:30 at Foster Hax Funeral home the Rev. Thomas P. Whalen officiated. There was also a 9oclock mass at St. James Evangalist Church. Burial was Maple Lawn Cemetery Dugway.
