Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, May 31, 1986 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Fernwood - Nelson J. North, 68, of County Route 41A, died Friday at House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown, following a brief illness. Mr. North was born in Daysville. He had been employed with Pulaski Sales and Service prior to his retirement in 1979. Mr. North was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army. He was a member of Robert Edwards Post 358, American Legion. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Rhoades) North; three sons, Douglas of Dallas, Texas, David of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Ronald of Pulaski; four daughters, Betty McLean of Batavia, Jean Alexander of Flushings, Margaret Bronowicki of Somerville, New Jersey, and Michelle Erbacker of Newfane; his mother, Ola (Buck) North of Pulaski; seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Taylor-Vida Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 7643 Jefferson Street. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may me made to the Oswego County Cancer Society or American Legion Post 358.
