Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 24, 1988 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Ola M. North, Fernwood, Dies At Age of 104 - Ola M. North, 104, County Route 41A, died Wednesday in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, after a short illness. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Taylor-Vida Funeral Home, Pulaski. Spring burial will be in South Richland Cemetery. A calling hour will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski, or the Fernwood Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mildred O. North, Fernwood; two daughters-in-law, Ruth R. North, Fernwood, and Thirza P. North, Syracuse; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Beatrice Griffin, Pulaski, and a brother, Stanley Buck, Pulaski. Two sons died before her: Harold R. in 1955 and Nelson J. in 1986. Born in Richland May 24, 1883, a daughter of Albert and Frances Ivens Buck, she attended Mexico schools. On March 27, 1907, she married Lambert North in Richland. He died in 1949. Mrs. North had been employed as a companion to the elderly.
