- Glen Hall Obituary
Glen Walter Hall, 81, Sandy Creek, passed away on February 4, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY, where he had been taken by ambulance on January 29 th .
Glen was born in Fulton, NY on October 11, 1943, the son of Forest J Hall and Laura Marsden Hall. He grew up on a small farm on U.S. Route 11, just south of Dry Bridge Road, Pulaski (Town of Richland). He graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School, Class of 1961.
On October 17, 1964, he married Nancy Lee Craig, daughter of William W. and Marion Robinson Craig, at the Sandy Creek Wesleyan Methodist Church, the Rev. Bernard A. Draper, assisted by the Rev. William L. Wilkinson, officiating. Nancy passed on January 14, 1998.
In earlier years, he worked on area farms and then at Blount Lumber Company in Lacona, working up to the position of foreman until he suffered a debilitating injury at work
. He enjoyed woodworking, repairing small engines, gardening, and snow blowing and lawnmowing on his John Deere tractor.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melinda J. and Jeffrey M. VanRy, son, Nathaniel W. Hall, 5 grandchildren, Jonathan, Joel and Nora VanRy, Cody and Owen Hall, his brothers and their wives, Robert and Janet Hall of Ohio, Larry and Thelma Hall of Florida, his sister, Jane Hall of Pulaski, 8 nieces and nephews, (including his nephew, Jim Hall of Pulaski, to whom he was especially close), 14 great nieces and nephews and 2 great, great nieces and nephews, and cousins, his later-in-life partner of nearly 25 years, Mary Laveck Hicks, her children, Jonna Hicks and Brandon J. Hicks, Jr. (Florence Lim Hicks), Mary’s granddaughter Hailey Hicks and her step grandchildren, Evan and Matthew VanderWeele.
Celebration of Life Services will be held in the spring or early summer.
