- Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 18, 1891 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Death of a Former Pulaskian - R. B. Goit, one of the oldest citizens of Three Oaks, Michigan, died very suddenly on Tuesday, June 2. Deceased was born here and when only three years old removed with his parents to the West, traveling in what is called a prairie schooner, a heavy lumber wagon covered with canvas and serving as conveyance and house as well. On the morning of the day of his death, not feeling well, he decided to make his will, which when completed he stood up and signed, ended one hour afterward he passed away. He was buried with Masonic honors. Deceased was a cousin of Arch Ingersoll and a nephew of C. R. Jones, both of this town.
