Newspaper Obituary - December 7, 1911 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Joseph C. Schumacher, Sr. - Joseph C. Schumacher, Sr., passed away at his home, Thursday, November 23, having been ill several years. Mr. Schumacher, was born in Germany, seventy-six years ago and for the past twenty-five years, he has resided on a farm in Boylston. He was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends, who regret to learn of his demise. Deceased is survived by his wife, who was Miss Elizabeth Grimes. They were married at Constableville, forty-six years ago. Also by five sons and one daughter, Joseph Jr.; Lewis of this place; William of Oswego, N.Y.; Henry of Vernon; John of Knoxboro; Mary Grunder, Utica, N.Y.; and one brother together with several grandchildren.
