  • Notes
    • George McCaw worked for many years in Dean William's Lumber Yard in Redfield. Later, he became a self-employed carpenter, working frequently for the Falvey family also. Like his father Bill John McCaw, George added his "touch" to many, many homes and buildings in the Redfield area. George worked even as he battled cancer at the end of his brief life.
George and Lizzie and family had a concession stand on Main St. in Redfield each year during Old Home Days. They sold grape Nehi, hamburgs with Onions, etc. "same old stand in the same old place" it was advertised as.
George and Lizzie had a wide circle of friends that they enjoyed playing cards with.
