- Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 23, 1939 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski, February 23 - William Montondo, 79, died late Wednesday night at his home in Factory Street. He had been in ill health for some time. Born at Evans Mills in 1860, he was the son of Frank and Lucy LaPutam Montondo. He was a farmer most of his life and was also a well-known fur buyer. He was a member of Pulaski Grange for 52 years and was a Golden Sheaf member. He was also affiliated with the Episcopal Church and the Pulaski Odd Fellows lodge. He married Anna Barnard Montondo 51 years ago, who survives him along with a son, William Montondo of Pulaski; two daughters, Mrs. Cora Spencer of Pulaski and Mrs. Laura Hapin of Fernwood; three sisters, Mrs. Bette Mattison and Mrs. Christy Little, both of Album-, and Mrs. Martha Trumbull of Pulaski; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Private funeral services will be held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial in Riverside cemetery, Pulaski.
