- Newspaper Obituary - February, 14, 1973 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Retired Carpenter Expires - LACONA - Miles E. Obleman, 82, of 9160 Academy St., formerly of Watertown, a retired carpenter, died at home Tuesday afternoon. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, Rev. David H. Zuber, pastor of the Wesleyan Church of Sandy Creek, officiating. Spring burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Florence Obleman; a son, Robert, Lacona; two nieces and three nephews. Born April 2, 1890, at Richland, a son of John and Nancy Suits Obleman, he attended local schools and married Florence Stage at Clayton on July 13, 1910. The couple lived in Watertown until 1921, when they moved to Lacona. Mr. Obleman was a carpenter arid worked for the Blount Lumber Co. until retiring in 1958; He was a member of the Carpenters' Union.
