  Newspaper Obituary - September 2, 1909 Saguache "Crescent" - Ella was the daughter of Gilford A. and Rose Penney [or Penny]. She married Fred F. Klein at Del Norte, Rio Grande County, Colorado August 26, 1907. Ella was severely burned at her home 16 miles west of Saguache about three weeks before her death. She had been preparing dinner when her clothes caught fire. Ella appeared to be recovering from these burns when she developed pneumonia which proved fatal.
