Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 11, 1974 Syracuse Herald Journal - Syracuse, New York - Mexico Driver Killed - Pulaski - A Mexico man died instantly in a two car accident on Route 3 near the intersection of Route 104B, three miles east of Mexico, last night. William Jamerson, 76, Pulaski RD 1, died from multiple body injuries. This brings to 28 the traffic fatalities in Oswego County this year. Admitted to the Oswego Hospital and listed in fair condition was George Driscoll of Pulaski RD 1, suffering from fractures of the rib and leg, and head and facial cuts. State police said Jamerson apparently crossed over the left side of the highway and into the path of an on coming car operated by Driscoll. They said Driscoll applied his brakes, and Jamerson then attempted to pull back into his own lane when the accident occurred. Investigation is being continued by Trooper F. F. Thurston and Investigator J. M. Doyle of the BCI. Assistant District Attorney James Grose was at the scene. Jamerson was removed to the Oswego County Morgue. The McFee ambulance and Mexico Fire Department were also called to the scene.
Newspaper Obituary - Friday, December 13, 1974 Syracuse Herald Journal - Syracuse, New York - Second Victim Dies From 2-Car Crash - Oswego - A Pulaski man died yesterday afternoon at Oswego Hospital as a result of injuries suffered in a two car accident Tuesday evening on Route 3 near the intersection of 104B. Succumbing to internal injuries was George Driscoll, 22, of Pulaski RD 1, formerly of 2227 Lodi Street, Syracuse. His death brings to 30 the traffic fatalities in Oswego County so far this year. Pronounced dead at the scene Tuesday evening was the other driver involved, William L. Jamerson, 76, of Atkinson Road, Town of Richland. Services for Mr. Jamerson were 11:30 today at the Harter-Olmstead Funeral Home. Burial was in South Richland Cemetery. He had resided in the Pulaski-Mexico area all his life and had retired after working in various milk plants. He is survived by three sons, Richard, of Cahokia, Illinois, Harry of Syracuse and Roger of Mexico; two step-daughters, Mrs. Carol Watson of Oswego and Miss Janice Bradway of Mexico; a step-son Thomas Bradway of Oswego; a sister, Mrs. Mary Sanderson of Pulaski; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Driscoll was born July 25, 1952 at Holyoke, Massachusetts, and resided in Syracuse most of his life, moving to Pulaski a short time ago. He had operated the Arco service station in Mexico and was employed by a Liverpool construction firm. He is survived by a daughter, Lynda Marie Driscoll; his parents, James and Rosemary Woods Driscoll of Syracuse; two brothers, Ronnie and James; three sisters, Debra, Norma and Patty; and several aunts and uncles in Oswego and Syracuse.
