- Newspaper Obituary - March 11, 1998 Syracuse Post Standard - FRANCES L. HOGAN - Frances Lathrop Hogan, 84, formerly of Brookfield Road, Mattydale, died Thursday at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Oswego Center, she lived in Mattydale for more than 60 years. She was a cafeteria worker for the North Syracuse Central School District. She was a founding member of the Mattydale Mothers Club, a member of the Third Ward Men's Club Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are four daughters, Dorothy Bedford of Fairmount, Barbara Buis of Clay, Carol Wallace and Virginia Judy Johnson, both of Florida; two sisters, Rose Lero of California, and her twin, Virginia Hogan of Syracuse; five stepdaughters, Corinne Kraus of Manlius, Gertrude Herold of Syracuse, Diane Miesch of East Syracuse, Marie Cerelli of Syracuse and Sharon Damiano of Pennellville; two stepsons, Fred Hogan of Mattydale and James Hogan of Brewerton; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Krueger Funeral Home. Burial is in North Syracuse Cemetery, North Syracuse. A calling hour is 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 2611 Brewerton Road, Mattydale.
