Leon M. Redden, 70, Renshaw Bay, formerly of Sandy Creek, died Monday at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.
Mr. Redden retired in 1988 after 37 years at Carrier Corp., Syracuse. Previously, he had worked for Blount Lumber Co., Lacona, for several years.
Born May 2, 1926, in Ellisburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Martin Redden, he attended Pulaski schools.
He married Ruby H. Kiblin on Nov. 30, 1946, at the home of the bride in Sandy Creek with the Rev. Herbert Harrison officiating.
Surviving besides his wife are five sons, Leon M. Jr., Dallas, Texas, Roger J. and Timothy D., both of Renshaw Bay, Richard J., Liverpool, and Michael J., Ellisburg; a sister, Leah Hutchinson, Pulaski; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Sandy Sunesi officiating. Spring burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Leon M. Redden, 70, of 9526 Renshaw Bay died Monday at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.
Mr. Redden was born in Ellisburg and lived in Lacona before moving to Renshaw Bay in 1958.
He retired in 1988 after 37 years at Carrier Corp. He previously worked for Blount Lumber Co., in Lacona for several years.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby; five sons, Leon M. Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Roger J. and Timothy D., both of Renshaw Bay, Richard J. of Liverpool and Michael J. of Ellisburg; a sister, Leah Hutchinson of Pulaski; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
