Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 11, 1931 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski, March 11 - Patsy M. Murray, 70, died at his home in Furnace street early this morning. He had been in poor health since he suffered injuries in a motor accident near his home about a year ago. It is believed he was improving but he suffered a relapse in January and never regained his strength. Mr. Murray was born in Napanee, Canada, May 8, 1860, son of the late Jerry and Eliza Hardie Murray. When he was 4 years old he came with his parents to a farm near Port Ontario and received his education in the rural school of that vicinity. When he was 18 years of age he went to Watertown, where he was employed by the J. N. Tilden Company of that city. He married Miss Cora Moore, who died several years ago. The couple moved to a farm in the Lamb district, near the Advent church, in 1894. Mr. Murray resided there until 12 years ago when he retired and came to the Furnace street home. Mr. Murray was a charter member of Pulaski Lodge, 415, F. and A.M., and was made a life member of that body in He was active in all Masonic affairs, having shown particular interest in the building of the Masonic Temple in Broad street. He was also a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. His survivors include two daughters, Mrs. R. L. Lowry of Alhambra, California, and Miss Vivian Murray, a teacher in Ogdensburg; one son, Ray J. Murray, and a twin brother, James Murray, both of Pulaski. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Methodist Episcopal church with the Rev. John Warren, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Willis cemetery.
