Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 28, 1906 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - David Coon - Last Friday evening, while attending a social at the Engine house, given by the I. O. G. T., David Coon, aged 71 years, died very suddenly of heart disease from which he had been a sufferer several years. Coroner Hollis, of Sandy Creek, was summoned Saturday morning, but deemed an inquest unnecessary. Besides his widow deceased is survived by a son, William D. Coon, of this village, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles Snow, of Orwell. Mr. Coon was a veteran of the Civil War and a member of J. B. Butler Post; also of Pulaski Lodge, I. O. G. T., and Lake Ontario Association, P. of I. The funeral was held yesterday at 1:30 o'clock at the Congregational church, Rev. J. B. Felt officiating. Mrs. F. A. Clark and Miss Maude Guile sand two selections, Miss Emma Fuller accompanying. Friends from Richland and Oswego were in attendance also the G. A. R. Post and the I. O. G. T., of which Mr. Coon was a member, also members of the W. R. C. The casket was draped with the Stars & Stripes and covered with a beautiful flowers. Burial at Richland.
