- Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 01, 1925 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Max William(Million) Pevert, a highly respected resident of this place, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Albert Haresign in Oswego, Sept. 25th after several months illness with dropsy of the heart. The deceased was 67 years of age and had spent the greater part of his life in this place, engaged in farming. After the death of his wife, Mrs. Rose Look Pevert, which occurred last May, he made it his home with his only daughter, Mrs. Albert Haresign. Although in failing health, Mr. Pevert often drove his car from Oswego to this place, looking after the interests of his farm. The funeral which was held at the M. E. church at Ricard, Sunday, was largely attended, friends and relatives coming from Oswego, Pulaski, Orwell, Redfield and Williamstown. Rev. W. H. Stimson of Williamstown officiated and Ernest Field of Altmar sang a beautiful solo. Among the beautiful floral tributes was one from Ricard Grange 993, of which he was a member. Burial at Evergreen cemetery at Orwell.
