Kenneth H. Ostrander, 82, Springbrook Apartments, died Wednesday at his home.
Mr. Ostrander worked for 30 years at Niagara Mohawk Power Corp., Oswego, retiring in 1980. He formerly worked at Ontario Iron Works, Oswego.
Born Sept. 8, 1917, in Fernwood, a son of Daniel and Nettie LeBeau Ostrander, he attended Pulaski High School and served in the Navy Seabees from 1942 to 1945.
He married Tressa K. Gurnsey June 4, 1938. Mrs. Gurnsey died Sept. 30, 1994.
Mr. Ostrander was a member of Park United Methodist Church, Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7289, and the NiMo 25-Year Club, Syracuse. He was a founder and former coach of the Pulaski Little League and a former member Ringgold Fire Company, Pulaski.
Surviving are his companion, Eve McCune, Pulaski, a son, Wayne D., Pulaski, two sisters, Ruth Welle, Canada Lake, and Dorothy Endsley, Redfield; five grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
A son, Kenneth Michael, died Sept. 1, 1987, with his wife, Barbara, in a three-car collision in Antwerp that claimed three other lives. Kenneth M. Ostrander was a physical-education teacher at Hermon-DeKalb Central School. Two brothers, Robert and Frank, and a sister, Jane Barney, died before him.
Spring services and burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home.
