    • Mrs. Ruth Mann, 78, died September 1, 1955 in Pulaski after several years of ill health. Funeral service was held at the Weston and Woodard Funeral home with Rev. Robert Vining, pastor of the Sandy Creek Baptist church officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery, the bearers being Ray Lindsey, Leon Crandall, Frank LaFave of Oswego and Frank Eddy of Pulaski.

      Mrs. Mann was the daughter of Fred and Mary Eliza Valentine Tryon, and spent the greater part of her life in the western section of the town. For several years she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Hazel Moyer, moving a few years ago to Pulaski.

      Surviving besides her sister, Mrs. Lewis (Hazel) Moyer of Sandy Creek, is another sister, Mrs. Robert (Clara) Howard of Oswego, a niece, Mrs. Frank LaFave of Oswego and son, Howard Pepper; a nephew, Frederick Moyer and three children of Sandy Creek. Mrs. Mann was a great-granddaughter of Levi Tryon one of the pioneer settlers of the South Pond area about 1800.
