      Mrs. Cora M. Scranton, 65, died at her home in Fernwood Tuesday morning following an illness of three months.

      Mrs. Scranton was born in his town May 1, 1872, a daughter of Thomas T. & Susanna Smith Stewart and her entire life has been passed in the vicinity of Fernwood. On December 25, 1895, she married Homer Scranton. She was a member of Pulaski Chapter OES and the Fernwood ME Church. Surviving besides her husband are two sisters, Mrs. C. A. Jewell of Pulaski and Mrs. Lizzie Butterworth, LaGrange, Ill., one brother, Fred Stewart of Fernwood, and several nephews and nieces.
